# Social Signals Overview

> Monitor your market on X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and HackerNews to capture warm leads.

SignalArk doesn't just look at firmographic data and job boards; it actively monitors the social web to catch buying signals where conversations actually happen.

Our social intelligence engine tracks engagements across four major platforms:

* **X (Twitter)**
* **LinkedIn**
* **Reddit**
* **HackerNews**

## How Social Signals Differ

Traditional market signals (like a funding round or a job posting) are tied directly to an Account.

Social Signals are primarily tied to a **Person** (the engager), and then resolved to an Account. Because of this, social signals flow into a dedicated `socialEngagementEvents` pipeline rather than the traditional market radar.

## External Ingestion (Flint)

Our social ingestion is powered by our external data partner, Flint. Flint continuously monitors your defined targets and submits batched social engagement events directly to our API (`POST /v1/social/ingest`).

When an event is ingested, SignalArk automatically:

1. Deduplicates the engagement.
2. Calculates a **Warmth Score** based on the type of interaction.
3. Resolves the engager to a company domain.
4. Checks the company against your ICP profiles.
5. Auto-promotes high-warmth, ICP-qualified leads directly into your sales pipeline.
