# Company Directory

> Search, filter, and import companies from a global, continuously updated directory.

The **Company Directory** provides a window into a massive global database of businesses, powered by TheCompaniesAPI (TCA). It serves as your primary tool for manual TAM building and targeted account research.

## Bulk Promotion & Preview

When you find a segment of companies that fit your ICP (e.g., "SaaS companies in London with 50-200 employees"), you can use the **Bulk Promote** feature.

Before any credits are consumed, the UI provides a detailed **Preview** showing exactly how many companies will be imported, how many already exist in your workspace, and the total credit cost for the required enrichment.

## YC Company Import

The directory includes special tags and filters for Y Combinator alumni, allowing you to easily build targeted lists of highly-funded, fast-growing startups based on their batch year and sector.
